Tomorrow marks the start of the Sheepage Premier League and with the weather forecast set fair, it promises to be a magnificent few days, 28 – 30 June. With classes from Medium to Grand Prix, there’ll be a great range of talent on show. Names like World and Paralympic Gold Medallist Sophie Wells, Paul and Bobby Hayler, Amy Woodhead, Becky Moody, Steph Croxford, Lara Edwards and Podium Potential rider Joanna Thurman-Baker are all on the entries list along with a range of others.
As the penultimate Premier League in the BD calendar, riders are chasing the last few coveted direct qualifying spaces for the LeMieux National Championships in the Equine Contstruction Advanced Medium, Farifax Saddles PSG, Saracen Horse Feeds Inter I and Cavalor Inter II Championships.
For the younger riders, there’s FEI tests for Pony and Children on Horses – a great chance to get some practice in ahead of the viewing trials in September.
Head over to Sheepate to watch – it’s free and, as they say, ‘it’s well worth the journey’! As well as the dressage action, have a browse (and hopfully spend) in their great onsite shop Tack Togs – they stock everyone’s favourite brands like Joules, Bucas, Charles Owen, Euro Star and LeMieux. Or have a coffee, snack or full dining experience at the Sheepgate Savoy.
Timetable, start times, results and live stream are all via the Sheepgate website.
